The European Commission has launched a public consultation on a range of possible EU measures that would encourage the reuse of treated wastewater ahead of a formal proposal from the new Commission in 2015. Citizens, stakeholders, businesses, NGOs and public authorities are being asked about the potential of re-use of water and obstacles to it.  The consultation asks which regulatory and non-regulatory measures could effectively address these concerns and increase the uptake of safe water reuse in the EU.

The 2014-Contaminated Site Management in Europe/ 2014 – Sustainable Approaches to Remediation of Contaminated Land in Europe (SARCLE-2014) international conference will be held at the Brussels Marriot Hotel, between 20 and 22 October 2014.
